Diablo 4 's Season of Witchcraft introduces potent character builds thanks to new Witchcraft Powers and Occult Gems. The Lunar Awakening event further spices things up, modifying Shrines of Sanctuary, which are now central to grinding out the event’s tiered rewards. However, one Shrine, in particular, has become a sore point for players: the Conduit Shrine. Diablo 4 denizens have slammed the Conduit Shrine as “useless” and have begged Blizzard to do something about it buy Diablo 4 Boosting.
In the early game, encountering a Conduit Shrine provides a significant dopamine rush, transforming players into lightning-spewing orbs of destruction. The massive damage boost and speed afforded by the Shrine buff lets you blast through Dungeons and the overworld. However, once you’ve hit Torment Level  and your build is fully optimized, the Conduit Shrine becomes a hindrance. It just can’t keep up with the billions of damage doled out by optimized builds. For this reason, the Shrine is often considered a debuff by late-game players.
Players have voiced their frustrations, with some suggesting that the Shrine feels like a "sick joke" by the developers. The ineffectiveness of the Conduit Shrine during the Lunar event is particularly problematic, as it essentially wastes a Shrine on Tier. Some players are actively skipping the Shrines entirely in hopes of stumbling across another in order to grind out their Ancestral Favor. Others have taken a more constructive approach and suggested potential changes for the Conduit Shrine.
One player suggested, “Conduit shrines, should just be like ball lightning, where lightning arcs from you and strikes mons around you. And it should make you move faster,”. They add “This way you can still use your abilities and you have the lightning effect of the shrine". Others suggested simpler reworks like a flat increase to damage. Whether Blizzard will pay attention to the feedback remains to be seen, though they have attempted to buff the Shrine previously.
