The world’s largest restaurant will open in Paris in a little less than three months.

Sodexo Live!, the company in charge of catering at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, announced today, April 30, what the players will eat at the games.

So that you can see for yourself what’s on offer, Olympics.com went to Port de Javel Haut in Paris to see the meals that the players will be served at the upcoming Games.

Sodexo Live! will open the Olympic and Paralympic kitchen on July 12, and the 3,500-seat restaurant will serve food 24 hours a day, seven days a week during the Paris 2024 Games.

Laurent Pasteur, Operations Director at Sodexo Live! in the Olympic and Paralympic Village, said, “The Village will be the center of their lives.” The players come from all over the world. “At the Village, catering plays a big part. Their job is to help the athletes do a little better by developing menus that are tailored to elite sports and meet the needs of athletes from more than 200 different countries, making everyone feel at home.”

MULTIPLES MEALS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

There will be something for every individual. There will also be a grill with meat and sides, a cheese station, a bakery, a hot food spread, a dessert station, and a lot of different fruits.

An athlete can eat, but that’s not their only choice. They will also be able to learn how to make the baguette, which is one of France’s most famous foods. The chief chef of Sodexo Live!, Stéphane Chicheri, said that there will be a bakery in the Olympic and Paralympic Village where athletes can learn how to bake.

We thought it was important for the Olympic Village to have a kitchen. We had to bake our own baguettes in the town no matter what… The players will also be able to shape and score the baguettes, as well as put them in and take them out of the oven. They can be a part of those times.”
