Entering therapy might appear intimidating to a person dealing with depression on their own for several weeks or months already. However, knowing how the process works can make it easier. Depression Counselling normally starts with the initial appointment that revolves around the client and their problems.

The specialist will ask the questions about the emotional state, changes in the sleep and appetite, the energy level, concentration, recent events in one's life, their family history, relationships, difficulties at work, and personal goals for the future. The aim of the first visit is not to solve all the problems right away but just to learn more about the process and decide if it is what the individual wants.

At Psych2gether, Depression Counselling occurs in a safe environment where clients have the chance to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences and receive advice from the professionals who will be able to help them identify the reasons behind their condition and coping methods.

Additional mental health testing may be recommended in case of co-occurring problems such as anxiety, trauma, ADHD, etc.
