While not a content patch the patch did bring major fan-requested modifications to the various Shadowlands systems, as well as the removal or modification of older content which the WoW team has determined to be problematic since the content's original release. WoW game manager Ion Hazzikostas recently said in an interview that the changes to older content will be made in order to ensure Azeroth is an open and welcoming environment.

The initiative to take the time to revisit some of the game's older content is happening as Activision Blizzard continues to deal with the fallout resulting from sexual harassment and discrimination claims that have been uncovered in a variety of lawsuits and inquiries.

Blizzard continues to upgrade old World of Warcraft content to be less problematic, this time targeting the term "greenskins" and various changes to the dialogue that remove additional references to developers and more subtle sexual comments.

The term greenskins is often used by humans as NPCs or players of the Alliance in reference to the game's orcs with cheap WOW WoTLK Classic Gold. While most instances of this phrase are removed or altered There is one NPC named Captain Greenskin in addition to two mythical items that utilize the term.
