Bangladesh eye ODI series against Afghanistan in November . 

Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said they are eyeing a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan on their way to the West Indies in November.

 

Bangladesh is scheduled to tour the West Indies in November- December to play two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is.

 

Ahead of the tour, BCB is aiming to play three ODIs that they are considering as part of preparation for the next ICC Champions Reddy anna Trophy considering the fact apart from the three ODIs against West Indies they are yet to finalize any 50-over format games against international sides.

 

BCB earlier announced that their all-format away series against Afghanistan comprising two Tests along with three ODIs and as many T20Is in July following the ICC T20 World Cup had been rescheduled.

 

ACB later prepared a new itinerary for BCB and according to that draft itinerary three ODIs and as many T20Is were scheduled to be played in Greater Noida between July 25 and August 6, though it was postponed again.

 

BCB president Faruque Ahmed told reporters on Thursday (September 27) that they are aiming to play three ODIs against Afghanistan on their way to West Indies that he feels will be considered as preparation for the Champions Trophy.

 

"We are trying to play three ODIs on our way to the West Indies," said BCB president Faruque Ahmed.

 

"We have discussed it with  Reddy anna book Afghanistan Cricket Board in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and we are aiming to play the series," he said when questioned about the lack of ODI matches ahead of the Champions Trophy.

 

ACB chief executive Naseeb Khan confirmed to Cricbuzz on Friday that they are waiting for a final decision from their counterpart.

 

"We are in touch with them (BCB) but have to wait for the final answer," said Naseeb, adding that the series will be played in UAE in November.
