Delhi summers push air conditioners harder than almost anywhere else in the country — long afternoons above 43 degrees, dusty air and rooms that heat up again within minutes of switching off. That is exactly the use case Mitsubishi Heavy Industries designs for: compressors and coils built to keep cooling at high ambient temperatures instead of quietly losing capacity when you need it most.

When you shortlist, match the tonnage to the room honestly — an undersized unit in a west-facing room will run flat out all day — then look at the star rating, inverter control and the operating range. Check the air throw distance for larger rooms, the filter system for dust-heavy areas, and whether the outdoor unit's coating suits your building's exposure.

Installation quality decides half the performance, so confirm piping length, brackets and stabiliser needs before the purchase, not on installation day. Warranty terms on the compressor deserve a careful read too.
