Hoops were my son's entire world. A generic headstone would've said nothing true about him, so we chose a sport design https://memoryheadstones.com/product-category/style/sport-headstones/ . It's respectful and personal, capturing his spirit without ever tipping into kitsch. Excellent granite, detailed engraving, delivered on time, the rules confirmed. Standing there, it feels like him, which is everything to me. For an athlete's family wanting the memorial to mean something real, these are the people. It was, in the end, the right call.
